Step 1

The building incorporated traditional sand and stone and brick works that included plinth, cills and head work along with string course, cornice and parapet copings.

The building’s focal point was the large, flat, elliptical archway and keystone.

Step 2

Particular attention was given to the energy efficiency of the building.

The design focused on the need for significant reduction in energy for heating and cooling of the building.  This principle greatly reduced the need to use energy to heat the building in winter, along with the need to cool the building in summer.

Step 3

The contract was successfully completed 4 weeks ahead of programme and on budget.

In turn, A&S Enterprises were proud to be a finalist at the 2009 National Building Awards in London, for the Best New Firm of the Year and Contractor of the Year.

Our thanks go to Hamlet new homes Ltd for a wonderful testimonial for this project.
